On Episode 15 of the ODU Wrestling Monarch Matcast, we start
pushing into the offseason with a visit from Old Dominion
University President John Broderick.
Broderick explains the course of his career as an undergraduate at
Northeastern, then on to graduate work at St. Bonaventure. He
worked at the University of Pittsburgh before landing in Norfolk at
Old Dominion.
President Broderick had an impact on host Jason Bryant's career at
Old Dominion, then there's the growth the school has seen, a push
on improving the athletics programs around campus and what it's
like selling the educational experience to prospective students,
athletes or otherwise.
Broderick breaks down how he views wrestling and other Olympic
sports and is pleased more at the academic performance of the
wrestling program than anything else.
