Kevin Beazley became the first wrestler with Old Dominion ties
to reach the finals of the USA Wrestling U.S. Open championships
since Buddy Lee. On Episode 17 of the ODU Wrestling Monarch
Matcast, we'll talk with Beazley about his opportunity to possibly
represent the U.S. at the World Championships.
Beazley was an NCAA Division I qualifier this past year at 197
pounds and went 27-17. Among the topics we'll discuss are his
foundation in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling and the
differences between the styles and the Olympic aspirations that
follow.
He also talks about the relationship with his family, the MAC and a
rival he's been battling since he was 10 years old.
